Introducing Lucy Cora Sansbury

April 1st, 2008 by Will Sansbury Discuss this article »

My daughter, Lucy, was born on Thursday, 3/27, at 3:10 pm. Early the next morning, at her routine pediatric checkup, we learned that she was born with a congenital heart defect called transposition of the great arteries. She underwent open heart surgery yesterday, 3/31.

I’ve written much more about Lucy and the rough road she’s traveled in her few short days at my personal blog, blog.willsansbury.com.

If you pray, please remember Lucy in your prayers.

WOW, what an amazing story. I am a friend of your dad, Don. We worked together for years at RJR in Winston-Salem. The last time I spoke to him was right after Lucy was born and he told me how beautiful she was. Today when we spoke he shared with me the horrific experiences she has gone though since God allowed her to ascend into this earthly dwelling. Will, what strength you and your wife much have. Thank you for allowing me to come into your lives and share this with you. I will pray continuously for Lucy’s health and strength as well as the rest of your family.

  2. I just came across your site after posting a twitter question about whatsup Gold. Wow, you guys are certainly in our prayers for sure.

With three children myself, and having my first born in the NIC U for almost a week (all is fine now) I can appreciate ever so slightly what you guys must be going through.

I hope all is well with your little one and your family.
